  • Relocation of an existing meter.  Except during replacement of water mains, this is the responsibility of the customer.  A permit may be required. Contact Taps and Meters.
  • Sewer taps.  Contact Taps and Meters.
  • Taps and Meters can be contacted at 832.395.4400.
  • Repair of water mains, sewer lines or replacement of manhole or storm drain covers. Dial 311 for these city services.
  • Repair of leaks near the meter.   The customer is responsible for all leaks after the water passes through the meter.   Please verify that the leak is not in your water lines before calling 311 for service.  Utility Maintenance may require several days to inspect the problem and schedule a repair. If the leak is in your water line instead of the city’s, you may be responsible for charges incurred by the leak.
