Contacting Us

Utility Customer Service handles questions on billing and service to individual homes and businesses. We can be reached by phone from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday from 8am to12pm at (713) 371-1400. Our offices are open 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, and are located approximately two miles southeast of downtown, at 4200 Leeland, Houston, TX 77023.

If you have a question about your water quality, or need to report a leaking meter, fire hydrant, or water main, please call 311. For installation of new service or to have a meter moved, call Taps and Meters at (713) 535-7675.

Both the office and phone assistance observe major state holidays. All City of Houston offices are normally closed on:

• Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Veteran's Day
• Thanksgiving Day and the day after
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day

Holiday weekend closures (Friday or Monday) include Saturday telephone service.
