The Management Support Section consists of three separate, though interrelated sections – Contract Compliance, Internal Review and Small Business Development.

The Contract Compliance Section is responsible for the monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of contracts for the department.  This includes conduct studies on vendor performance including billing process and services provided, assisting end users in administering contracts, recommending changes to contracts, and reviewing complaints by end users and vendors concerning contracts.

The Internal Review Sections' scope of work includes: operational reviews, contract reviews, petty cash/change fund audits, and the periodic observation of physical inventory and financial reviews. Upon request, the section also conducts special audits.

The Small Business Development Group (SBDG) was established for the purpose of promoting equal access to PWE contract and procurement opportunities for Minority, Women and Small Business Enterprises (S/MWBE). Additionally, the SBDG is responsible for administering the Mayor's Executive Order 1-7 "Pay or Play Program (POP)."
