Management Support Section

The Management Support Section, led by Assistant Director Viveca Sonberg, is responsible for all personnel actions processing, job posting initiation, position control/budget coordination activities, benefit coordination, EPE compliance, FMLA, New Employee Orientation, departmental personnel records, retirement processing, information distribution, HR related training, departmental safety activities and Workers’ Compensation case management.

PWE logo.The Public Works & Engineering Information Technology Division, led by Chief Technology Officer Ogilvie Gericke, are responsible for providing and coordinating all computer related services for approximately 3300 employees in 140 locations for the divisions of PW&E. The scope of work includes systems support and facilitating hardware/software needs for the City's Infrastructure covering Engineering and Construction, Planning and Development Services, Public Utilities, Resource Management, Right-of-Way, Fleet Maintenance, Traffic and Transportation.

 

The Information Technology Division's responsibility provides the computer support to assist the Public Works & Engineering staff to implement the water, wastewater, storm water, and street programs for the various Capital Improvement Projects.

 

The responsibilities of the Information Technology Division are distributed among seven (7) branches:

Application Maintenance, Communications, Geographical Information Services (GIS), Infrastructure, Service Delivery, Resource Management and Collaborative Services.
