The West Houston on-street bikeway offers 27.8 miles of bike lanes and designated bike routes west of Beltway 8, between Old Katy Road and Richmond. This includes a planned extension ( 1.2 miles) from Richmond at Ashford Park, past West Oaks Mall, to George Bush Park, where it will connect to a planned Harris County Trail around the park. The bikeway is located in Key Map grids 487, 488, and 489 A-Z.
Connections to the TMC West bikeway can be made at Lakeside and Briar Forest, and Harwin at the Beltway, and the Brays Bayou Trail. The West Houston bikeway provides the westernmost network connections.
