The Texas Medical Center/Greenway Plaza/Galleria (TMC) On-street Bikeway includes over 52 miles of bike routes connecting the area around the Medical Center, from the south side of Buffalo Bayou to Cambridge and Calhoun, just south of Brays Bayou, and the area just west of Beltway 8, at Lakeside and Lakeside Forest.
Designated bike lanes and bike routes make up this bikeway that connects with the bikeway network. Connections can be made onto the North Houston On-street Bikeway, the CBD On-street Bikeway, and the West Houston On-street Bikeway.
This TMC bikeway can get you from the Briar Forest and Beltway 8 area, to the University of Houston, and the Museum District. An additional 10 miles of connectors enhance connectivity throughout the network. These include the Memorial Trail and the Woodway access trail to the Uptown shopping area at Post Oak. A 1-mile trail along Holly Hall connects METRO Rail to the Cambridge bike lanes and the Ardmore bike route.
