Bicycle parking encourages bicycle travel. Thanks to a federally funded project over 1,600 new bike parking spaces were installed through the City's Bike Parking Program. Bike racks were provided to schools, management districts, other public institutions, and private organizations that picked up and installed the bike racks on their property for employee and public use.
